PULWAMA, March 08 (KNO) : Clashes erupted between government forces and youths soon after a cordon and search operation (CASO) launched at Monghama village of Pulwama district on Thursday evening.
Sources told Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that scores of youths pelted stone government forces. Forces restored to teargas shelling to disperse the protesters.
No one was injured during the clashes. Police said that the CASO was launched follwing inputs of presence of militants in the village. SSP Pulwama Mohammed Asalam Choudry confirmed to KNO kashmir news observer that minor clashes took place during the operation. The CASO was launched by forces. Later, the search operation called off as no militant was found to be present in the area (KNO)
